Shehnaaz Gill opens up about 'attachment' at Brahmakumaris event, says it hurts

Bigg Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill recently attended the Empowerment of Girl Child campaign hosted by Brahmakumaris in Delhi, where she discussed the importance of gender equality and girl empowerment.

"I want to say that stop making girls feel small. I am also a girl. It shouldn't be that brothers should walk ahead of their sisters. If the brother will go, then the sister will go. Girls should not feel scared. Boys and girls shouldn't be differentiated. We all should think we are souls then no one can harm us. Competition, comparison, and dishonesty will fade away if we think like this," she said.

Furthermore, during her interaction, the singer-actor turned emotional while talking about attachment and love and highlighting the difference between the two.

"Attachment hurts but love is pure. You don't cry when you love someone. Whatever relationships you have with your brother, husband etc are temporary and will remain here only," she said.

"Only God loves you truly. If you want pure love, develop a connection with your god. For me, the people who have really supported me and made me strong are the Brahmakumaris," she further adds in her statement.

This is not the first time Shehnaaz has been associated with the organization.

Earlier, the Honsla Rakh actress shared a detailed account of her mental and spiritual journey in an exclusive conversation with spiritual teacher Sister BK Shivani.
